The bus group tour was stopped by the authorities after the 2013 Rim-To-Rim (R2R) run. Organizing this hike is difficult so it took the sisters a year to figure out how to do it on their own (without an organized tour). A driver is the most difficult logistic; but, when a family member is willing to sacrifice their time the R2R becomes doable. THANK YOU AMY!
Amy navigated a 15 passenger van ๐to transport the R2R team from Phoenix, Arizona to the Grand Canyon

Exploring the South Rim
Animal sightings on the South Rim
Outtake: The team was tired after completing the hike, but they laughed because, though exhausted, they still knew the difference between a drinking fountain and a toilet!
Outtake: Staci rarely gets sick, but she was very ill the week leading up to the hike. Staci tried many remedies to become healthy including drinking a lot of wheat grass, ginger and tumeric. This proved to cause a few issues ๐ฉon the R2R hike.
2015 was a mild ๐ year! The high on the South Rim was 68. This means Phantom Ranch was ~88. The yellow highlight is the hiking time.
Data collected by Staci's Garmin fenix 5X watch. โ
