The sisters πŸ‘§πŸ‘§πŸ» are not world class athletes so they put in the work! πŸ₯Ύ Speed is NOT 🚫 the goal. Slow and steady completes a Grand Canyon hike safely! The goal is to get many miles under the feet, 🦢 including back-to-back days. The sisters are NOT 🚫 certified coaches or experts in training for distance; they are experienced having SUCESSFULLY completed the Grand Canyon Rim-To-Rim hike four 4️⃣ times. A big part of this success is related to developing good training plans.

Each hiker has individual strengths, weaknesses and needs, and must determine the training plan best for THEMSELVES. The following are good starting ideas for training plans with options for

  • Bare minimum: An easy, chilled out, training plan that accommodates a busy "work-life" schedule

  • Good enough: A moderate training plan that includes back-to-back high mileage days

  • Beast-mode: A difficult training plan that includes back-to-back-to-back high mileage days
